Little cat treat!

Last week, the day after I had submitted my dissertation I wanted to congratulate myself for all the hard work with a little something. I decided that it was time to buy a new charm for my Pandora bracelet! For those of you who do not know me personally, you should know that I have a thing for cats! So what would be more representative of me than a cat charm? I already have my eye on many other charms, now all I need is the money for them or my friends to give them to me as presents ;)

Summer moved on...

It appears that now that I have finally completed my dissertation and I have a lot of free time to go around, the summer is over... I spend my time job hunting, reading September issues of fashion magazines in order to be informed about the upcoming trends, enjoying Edinburgh as much as the weather allows, studying Japanese and of course I occasionally do some shopping! I decided that with the weather getting worse, it was time I bought the wedge-heeled ankle boots that I was thinking about. I wanted something with a relatively low heel so after doing some research I decided to buy this pair from River Island. I could not find them in the stores in Edinburgh in this colour so I ordered them online last Friday that there was a free delivery promotion and I received them today! I have already tried them with trousers and skirts and I can say I am pretty happy about the way they look! I can't wait to start wearing them :)

Take a break and buy some boots!

After spending a lot of time at home, in front of the computer, working on my dissertation, today I decided to take a small break. It is almost over and I had to go to the centre of the city anyway so I decided to go around the shops for a while. I know that it is summer and in other countries it might be very hot but here in Edinburgh buying ankle boots in the middle of August makes complete sense! I gave in to the leopard print trend and bought this flat booties from Primark. I am really tempted to buy a pair of wedge heeled ankle boots and I think I have found the ones I want but I will tell you more if and when I buy them. I have been feeling a bit down the last days but nothing that some shopping can't fix :) Now back to work!

You should have put a ring on it!

I am all the time inside my apartment, trying to finish my dissertation but I can't help needing a break and what better way to take some time off than writing on my blog?
Well I have to admit that my fingers are not my best feature and that is the reason why I was never wearing rings up until a few years ago. Then my boyfriend gave me this beautiful ring (for those wondering: no, it is not an engagement ring!) that I would wear all the time and that changed my opinion about rings on my fingers.
Almost a year ago, when I  first moved to Edinburgh,a friend of mine came to visit and we were going around the shops. We went to Accessorize and she was looking to buy me a small gift so she decided to buy me this very cute bow ring that you can see in the picture. I am a fool for bows so I absolutely love it!
Some days ago, a friend wanted to go shopping and another friend and I joined her. I saw this pink ring and as pink is my favourite colour I really liked it and since it was half-price, my friends were right! I just had to buy it!
Now back to the dissertation! And dreaming about shopping...

Something exciting is about to happen...

At the beginning of next month, something very exciting fashion-wise is about to happen in my current city. Edinburgh will have its first Online Fashion Week! Collections by established designers, high street labels, independent boutiques and students will be filmed and photographed and the public will have the opportunity to watch the broadcasts in October via  computers, smartphones and tablets. I am very happy to be one of the dressers/runners that will help make this Online Fashion Week happen! At the 7th of September in the evening the closing catwalk show will be open to the public and you can now buy your tickets! Check http://edinburghonlinefashionweek.com/ for more information and for the closing catwalk show tickets! If you book your tickets by tomorrow you can get a discount by entering EOFWadult or EOFWstudent. Can't wait for September to come :)
