lookbook
We decided after our teacher urged us with my classmates to create a lookbook with this wardrobe basics. So we all brought apart from these items accessories,shoes,jackets etc. and we styled the looks in collaboration with each other. This is the result after some touches with photoshop.

Wardrobe basics!!!
12 things you should have in your wardrobe always that never go out of fashion!!!
1) A white button shirt that flatters the most your body type.
2) A good quality cardigan in your favorite color.
3) A jacket that works with skirts but also with pants.
4) A good pair of jeans that fits you perfectly.
5) A pair of black pants.
6) A variation pair of pants (i.e. beige linen)
7) A little black dress
8) A skirt that flatters your body type.
9) A sleeveless shirt with round neckline that with the right accessories can be transformed into evening wear.
10) Black, white and grey tank tops.
11) A pair of classic flat boots.
12) A pair of flats. They can be of color, animal print etc.

Fashion stylists

A stylist is the creative who innovates trends and styles.He/She chooses the pieces (outfits) for a fashion show or collection and interprets trends and creates styles. Usually he/she is used to multitasking: they can have personal projects as free lancers in magazines or brands, they can be personal shoppers or create shop windows for stores and work for publicity campaigns,video clips etc.
The stylists are very important because they are the visual reporters that create ties and bridges between the production and the consumption of the products. A stylist's direct team is the makeup artist and the photographer.Through their collective relationship they are reaching the goal which is to innovate. The success of a collection is connected only to one thing: the image.
There are stylists that have created unique and innovative styles and have become very popular in the fashion industry. The most famous and controversial is Rachel Zoe that created the style "Zoebots" used by Nicole Ritchie, Mischa Burton and Lindsay Lohan. Patricia Field also is very well known for the unique style that she created for "Sex and the City". Andre Leon Talley who has been a judge for America's Next Top Model is also a well known stylist who is also a contributing editor in American Vogue. Andrea Lieberman is mostly known for her work with Gwen Stefani. Arianne Phillips is a costume designer but she also has been Madonna's stylist for a long time. Christina Ehrlich is Nicole Ritchie's new stylist and she has also worked with Penelope Cruz and Jessica Biel. Estee Stanley is working with the Olsen twins.Isabella Blow was a fashion icon and a British editor who discovered Alexander McQueen. Jessica Pastor has worked with Charlize Theron and Hilary Swank for the Oscars. William Baker is mostly known for his work with Kylie Minogue. L'wren Scott, Mick Jagger's current wife is known for her work with various celebrities. Panos Yiapanis is a contributing fashion editor for the Face. Phillip Bloch has worked with various actors for Red Carpet situations but also has collaborated with magazines.

Terminology projects
The terminology class was the last one of the first week of the course so at the end of the course our project was to create different looks according to what we had learnt and to the situations given to us.
The first look was for Emma, that she was after a Bohemian Chic style. She is going to Coachella. She has small breasts and she belongs to the pear body type. She likes bright and light colors and she wants her look to include a raceback top. The look I created for her was the following:
The second look was for Leny that she likes the Mix and Match style. She is going to a brunch on a hotel terrace in New York. She has a V shape body. She wants her look to include wide leg pants and prints. This is what I created for her:
The third and last look was for Mercedes. She has a classic style and she is going to Fashion Week in Milan. She belongs to the rectangle body type. She wants a monochromatic look that includes a button shirt. The look that I thought would suit her best follows:

Terminology-tops
Last but certainly not least the basics of tops/shirts.
The cap sleeve is of short sleeve and the sleeve just covers the shoulder.
The button shirt is just like the one for men except it has pleats to follow the female figure. It is a classic and can work with anything from pencil skirt to jeans.
The wrap crosses the body and gets tied on the waist just like the wrap dress and the wrap coat.
The sleeveless emphasizes on the arms and can be used with a jacket.
The peasant has a casing on the neck and can soften any look but it is not very flattering for most women...
The ruffled has long sleeve, can be made of silk or cotton and it has a cascade of frills on the chest.
The scoop neck is flattering for any body type. It is really helpful for those with narrow shoulders and big breasts.
The crew neck is for the thin ladies and it is not good at all in hiding bellies or minimizing breasts.
The V neck is universally flattering, the longer the neck it will make you look thinner.
The boat neck with its horizontal neckline makes the narrow shoulders widen and it makes a good balance for girls with big hips.
The tank top is perfect to create layers. You can use it under a jacket,a cardigan or looser shirts.
The ornamental is good for any evening occasion. It can be made of chiffon, satin, with decorations, embroidery, drapes or frills. You can use it under a jacket or cardigan.
The empire is romantic and easy to use with skirts or pants. It is the best to hide your big belly, if you have one like me!
The race back is the one where the straps meet on the back. It can be tight or loose.

Terminology-skirts
Although I like skirts I don't use them very often because I don't like my legs...But using them or not it is good to know how to talk about them so here we go!
The pencil skirt can be high or under the waist. It "hugs" the knees. It emphasizes the curves.
The A line skirt is very elegant.
The tiered skirt has layers and it has a soft and feminine effect.
The bubble skirt widens on the middle and gets tight on the hem, which gives it a very dramatic look.
Now that's a skirt I could never wear...The mini skirt can be loose or tight but what it was made for is to show your legs.
The full skirt can be pleated or draped. It is a romantic option that flatters almost every woman so go for it!!!

The capri pants can be tight or pleated. They can make your legs look thinner but they make you seem shorter unless you use heels. They look good with ballet flats.
The high waist pants are to emphasize on the waist. The low part can be tight or loose.
The bootcut pants create a long figure.
