Confetti and pink hair

You know how much I love pink and I decided to go for a new shade with my hair that will hopefully last longer than the pastel colour I am usually getting. It was only appropriate to combine it with my brand new t-shirt (another birthday present) and have a colourful day!

Sunglasses by the river

I love sunny winter days because you need a beautiful coat but at the same time your cool sunglasses. Exploring the San Antonio river walk gave me a perfect excuse to use my new coat partially made of recycled wool and recycled plastic as well as my new colourful sunglasses. 

I bought the coat on my visit to the new (first) H&M store in Monterrey but since the weather had been warm in December, I hadn't had a chance to use it. I really liked the colour and shape of the coat but what I really liked also was the fact that it was from the conscious collection.

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook the sunglasses were the content of the Marc by Marc Jacobs shopping bag in Cancun. I wasn't planning on going shopping but as I was walking around the mall in Cancun I noticed the boutique and then a sign saying that they had a big sale so I couldn't resist going inside and taking a look. The offers were really good and you know me, I just couldn't ignore these eye-catching sunglasses.

Hand-down dress

How do you feel about clothes recycling? Do you still wear clothes handed down to you by a friend or a family member? While I was growing up it was normal being the younger sister up to the point that my sister and I developed completely different body types. After that it was kind of impossible to wear her old clothes and the exclusivity of my closet started. Up to this day whenever we are together (a few days per year since I live in Mexico and she lives in England) we exchange handbags and accessories where our size has no interference. 

About 2 weeks ago, a colleague of mine saw me at work wearing a print dress and she told me that she had a dress that she had bought on a trip she took to China that she had only used once, she didn't really like how she looked in it and she felt that it would suit my style. I was not sure that it would fit me since she is very tall and thin but a few days later she brought it to me and I felt that this dress really is for me: it fits and it is a colourful print! 

So if you have something in your closet that you never wear and you think would suit someone else give it to them. Or you can always donate your unwanted clothes to a charity. There is always someone who could get a use out of them.

Black Friday

No, I am not referring to the retail event taking place in November. But the weather is back to cloudy mode here today and it makes me want to wear black and maybe throw a classic tan in the mix to match the colours of the sky and the mood of the day.
