Seriously mood

For those days that you feel you don't want to try too hard with your outfit, try an all-black outfit. Maybe just add an accent to your look with some colour and create a mood. I decided to make my all-black look special by giving it an 80s vibe using a yellow bandana on my wavy hair and fuchsia lips :)

Blue, gold and pink

I remember not that long ago that I used to have only a pair of sunglasses that I would use every day, for any occasion. However in the past couple of years I have developed a slight obsession for them so I currently own 7 pairs, including these news ones. Of course some of them are not by a brand so they are not of great quality but I feel like they make for a perfect fashion accessory and at the same time protect my (sensible to the light) eyes.

  • Pink pattern flats: MELISSA by VIVIENNE WESTWOOD ANGLOMANIA
  • Navy blue bucket bag: TARGET

Gold feet and rings

I remember when I was younger that I wasn't really a big fan of gold. However I have come to appreciate how practical it can be since it can be combined with any colour and it can be used for formal or casual occasions. I have come to love it so much that I currently own 4 pairs of gold shoes including these very pretty ones that I received as a present for my birthday from a very dear friend.
Don't be afraid to give it a try, even if you try it with accessories such as jewelry. It is a classic and you will see how easy it will make your life.
With this post I am done showing you my pretty birthday presents for this year. Of course I have included in the blog only the ones that are related to fashion but I have to point out that they were not the only ones and they were equally adorable and much appreciated.

Pink and fuchsia

It has been almost a month since my birthday but I still haven't finished presenting you all my gifts. I must admit that I am a very lucky girl that received a lot of love and many presents this year but I promise that I am almost done showing off :)
This blouse was one of the gifts that I received and I find it great because first of all it is pink and also it is suitable for any occasion depending what you combine it with. A pair of jeans and fuchsia lips make a good match with it for a casual day at work.

  • Girlfriend jeans/ Pointy imitation snake skin slingback flats: H&M
  • Fuchsia Selma Bag: MICHAEL KORS

Denim coolness

I am such a fan of denim. It is like a blank canvas that is ready for any colour, any print. You can make an all-denim outfit cool combining it with interesting accessories . My combo of coolness was achieved with a) a pair of pretty shoes that were a gift from my boss for my birthday last month and for those who know me they can see how they were made for me (my boss is the best, right??), b) a beautiful hair accessory that in this case was a print neckerchief repurposed (a gift from a friend when he visited New York) and c) an awesome handbag with an interesting print that was an anniversary gift from my fiancé. I am coming to realise that I get a lot of fashion related gifts so thank you to all my friends that are feeding my love for fashion and help me maintain my coolness :)

Studs and flowers

You want to wear all black but you are afraid you will look too basic? A pair of trousers with a floral print and a studded top are definitely going to make you feel far from it. Of course accessorising with pink hair and shoes does help ;)

Boho and pearls

On the last day of our spring break we visited the city of Guanajuato, which like San Miguel de Allende is also a World Heritage Site. It is a beautiful city, full of colour and great buildings. Although it is a completely modern city that has everything you would find in a Mexican city, it is still a very charming place. In order to walk around and see all the attractions of the place, what a better combo than jeans and sneakers?

  • Boho kimono: NOOBASS
  • Black tank top: PRIMARK
  • Girlfriend jeans: H&M
  • Polka dot sneakers with pink glitter: MYTHEO
  • Pink imitation leather backpack: ZARA
  • Pearl cat necklace: no brand, it was given to my as a present on my birthday
  • Sunglasses: DKNY

Seriously mexican sandals

Part of getting to know a pretty place in Mexico is visiting the local market. You can find so many interesting handmade creations from local artisans. I had discovered this kind of sandals when I visited the market in Oaxaca but unfortunately my feet are too big for Mexican standards so I didn't manage to find them on my size. But now in San Miguel they came across my path and they were actually available on my size so I couldn't resist them. They are made of leather and I love how colourful they are!

  • Long black t-shirt with "Seriously not that serious" print: ROSS
  • Black wet looking leggings: NEW LOOK INSPIRE
  • Multicoloured leather sandals: no brand, bought from the market in San Miguel

Blue and pink in San Miguel

Coming back from the spring break has not given me much time to write but I really want to show you the beautiful places I got to visit. San Miguel de Allende is a small town, located in the centre of Mexico in the state of Guanajuato. It is a very popular destination for locals and foreigners. The architecture and colours of the city are beautiful and it has been declared as a World Heritage Site.
My must have fashion pieces when I travel are sneakers in order to be able to walk around a lot, sunglasses so that the sun won't keep me from seeing everything and a comfortable bag that I can carry around easily the whole day and at the same time fits everything I need for a day of exploration.
Our first day in San Miguel the weather was quite warm so I decided to go for a comfortable dress combining it with my brand new backpack that fits my requirements of travel bag and off I went to discover the beauty of this great place!

  • Blue dress with white polka dots: ASOS CURVE
  • Flower print sneakers: TAYLOR SWIFT FOR KEDS
  • Pink imitation leather backpack: ZARA
