Flowers, sparkles and beads

You probably have noticed that bomber jackets are having a big moment as a trend. Although I was tempted to buy one the past months, I hadn't found anything available on my size that I would be excited about. However on my sale scavenger hunt I came across this one and I really liked it because of the print. I tried it on and I felt it fit well and of course having to pay just 1/3 of the original price helped me make up my mind pretty fast. Let's hope the weather will keep fresh for a little while so that I can get to wear it a few times before the summer comes ;)

Blue and pink in San Miguel

Coming back from the spring break has not given me much time to write but I really want to show you the beautiful places I got to visit. San Miguel de Allende is a small town, located in the centre of Mexico in the state of Guanajuato. It is a very popular destination for locals and foreigners. The architecture and colours of the city are beautiful and it has been declared as a World Heritage Site.
My must have fashion pieces when I travel are sneakers in order to be able to walk around a lot, sunglasses so that the sun won't keep me from seeing everything and a comfortable bag that I can carry around easily the whole day and at the same time fits everything I need for a day of exploration.
Our first day in San Miguel the weather was quite warm so I decided to go for a comfortable dress combining it with my brand new backpack that fits my requirements of travel bag and off I went to discover the beauty of this great place!

Stripes, flowers and hot pink lips

Last Sunday it was my birthday. Now that I am 30 I am not planning on dressing up more formal, sneakers and jeans will still do. My quest for feeling comfortable and pretty with my look and making my outfits special with accessories will still be on. I am considering however to start wearing lipstick more often (dare I say daily?) so when I went to H&M with a friend the other day, I decided to buy this hot pink one. I am really liking it but it is me so let's see for how long I will keep up with its use.

  • Skinny ripped jeans: PRIMARK

No red/pink Valentine

Please don't think that I am a hater but Valentine's Day is not something really extraordinary for me. Don't get me wrong: I completely believe in love and although the older I get the less romantic I become (I have to be honest here), I just think that you don't need a specific day to give the one you love flowers, chocolates or special attention.  However I respect the fact that it is something that many people will be celebrating so you will need an idea for an outfit. Even though you know I adore pink, I find it quite boring to use this colour or red for the occasion since everybody else is doing it. Red lips are fine but I am going for a different outfit such as a pretty floral dress and adding an edge with a biker jacket.

Perfect timing with Yves

I was lucky enough that my last day in England was the first day that the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition "Style is Eternal" opened its doors to the public in the impressive Bowes Museum, in County Durham. Located in the lovely town of Barnard Castle where you can also visit the ruins of the castle and those of Egglestone Abbey, you can definitely make a great weekend getaway out of it.

The shiny sneakers

Is there an age when people have to stop using sneakers unless they are exercising? I don't believe this, especially when there are so many shiny and girly sneakers out there. You don't want to look too casual? Just combine them with a pretty dress and a cute handbag and you are ready to go!
