Bows and points

One of the things that a woman should always have in her closet is a pair of nude-coloured shoes. They are so practical because they can be combined with any other colour, therefore the looks you can create are endless. So this is how I justified to myself buying these super-cute shoes on a late-night visit to the online store of Zara. My other excuse was that I owed myself a nice Christmas present and let's face it: a bow is irresistible to me!

Catrina and crochet

It's been a month since I was in Oaxaca and although it was a short trip, it was a must to pay a quick visit to the artisan market and buy some nice presents for family, friends and myself ;)
Among the great things that one may find there, I came across these great handmade earrings of a couple of calacas, that were very cheap. I am a fool for quirky jewellery so it was only natural to buy them immediately. Aren't they adorable?

Choker and studs

You certainly have noticed the comeback of chokers in the past year and I have indulged in the trend as you may have seen here on the blog. I don't have many of them, however the one I was given for Christmas by my brother-in-law JC is a very special one. It is hand-embroidered by women in the Yucatan region of Mexico and it is just beautiful. Who says that artisan work has to be boring and traditional? Here is the proof that it can be fashionable as well!

  • Black v-neck t-shirt: H&M
  • Black skinny jeans: NEW LOOK INSPIRE
  • Black and white knit cardigan/pointy studded flats: ZARA
  • Green handbag: CAROLINA HERRERA

Dreamcatcher and camouflage

I probably look different in this picture than usual as I am completely make-up free. I was skeptical about sharing it at the beginning but then I decided that I just could not wait to show off another of my Christmas presents. Anyway the purpose of this blog has always been to share my personal style and outfits and I have always been far from perfect so I think it is fine to go all natural once in a while.
Since it is Wednesday it is the perfect fit for a pink outfit (Mean Girls reference) so my brand new dreamcatcher necklace is the ideal complement to make everything even pinker ;) Now I am hoping that it will also fulfill its purpose as a dreamcatcher and only bring me good dreams!

  • Crop jeans: LEVI'S
  • Pointy imitation snake skin slingback flats: H&M
  • Camouflage and flower print jacket: PRIMARK

Fuchsia and polka dots

I  have been in Monterrey for 4 years now and I am lucky to be part of a work team that has embraced me and we have created a special bond. Since I started working here I have collaborated closely with Alberto and this has led to as becoming friends. So my thoughtful friend gave me as a Christmas present a handbag (shocker, right?)! It is a great fit since it is big enough to fit all of the things I carry with me every day at work and it is pink! So what more could I ask for? Oh and it matches my hair ;)

Olive and leopard

It seems like we are about to have a cold weekend (it is January so it does make a lot of sense after all) so it is time to bring out the sweaters and scarfs/pashminas to shield the cold out. Another present I received for Christmas is this beautiful pashmina that is mainly made of acrylic so it is very cozy and warm! So layer up and get ready to face the low temperatures!

  • Black sweater with gold letters/olive pashmina: H&M
  • Boyfriend jeans: ASOS CURVE
  • Pointy leopard print lace-up shoes: ZARA
  • Multicoloured cross-body bag: BIMBA Y LOLA

So let's start 2017 with another handbag! You know how much I love them and this is just great because it is something out of the ordinary and so colourful that puts me in a good mood! So what goes great with colour? Even more colours of course ;)
