Catrina and crochet

It's been a month since I was in Oaxaca and although it was a short trip, it was a must to pay a quick visit to the artisan market and buy some nice presents for family, friends and myself ;) 

Among the great things that one may find there, I came across these great handmade earrings of a couple of calacas, that were very cheap. I am a fool for quirky jewellery so it was only natural to buy them immediately. Aren't they adorable?

Wedge, print and a hummingbird

How do you pick your outfit? Do you choose the clothes first and then decide for the shoes, bag and accessories? Usually I start by choosing one piece (skirt, top, dress, shoes, bag, earrings) that I want to wear and then style around it. In this case, I started with the shoes. Since I hand't used them for almost a year I thought it was time to take them out of their box and then everything else started coming together. 

As you can see I am wearing a hummingbird temporary tattoo. It is just a great solution for my fear of needles and my worry that I will get bored of something permanent. This local designer has these really cute designs that I just love.

Quilted and embellished

Turning the sweatshirt and sneakers look cooler and more formal by adding girly details such as a skirt and a nice handbag, that's what casual Friday should look like :)

Tan, black and white

A full skirt too girly for you and biker boots too boyish? Combine them in an outfit to give it the perfect balance! Just add a sweater and a nice bag and achieve cute and tough at the same time :)

Stylish postcards

If you live in a region where September means that the summer is about to be over, take advantage of the last days of heat and sunshine and wear your sandals! It can't get more summery than combining them with a skirt and a t-shirt ;)

Stressed gingham

If you are feeling insecure about your belly and that is the reason why you don't wear crop tops, think again. My belly is far from flat but I use my crop tops with high rise skirts so when I lift my arms the belly stays covered and I don't feel self conscious. So try the trick and keep on trend ;)

Postcards and denim

When on holidays do you buy postcards or am I the only one still sending them out? Call me old fashioned but I believe them to be a great souvenir and a very nice way to show to people that you think of them although you are far away. 

Unfortunately my vacation has come to an end and is there a more fashionable way to commemorate it than this skirt?
