Marble and biker

Since the temperature has dropped in the past few days, it is a perfect excuse to wear ankle boots and a warm cardigan. Ankle boots are a perfect solution to keeping your feet warm and they can be combined with dresses, trousers and skirts. 

I don't own any tall boots at the moment, mostly because I have not been able to find a pair that can fit my big calves but I have come to the conclusion that ankle boots are more practical. The weather doesn't have to be too cold to use them and as I currently live in a place where very low temperatures don't occur very often I can wear them for a longer period of time during the year. 

As for this outfit, I just love the clash of styles between the biker boots and the very girly dress! I think they create a very interesting contrast look.

Fashion never sleeps

My students decided to make sweatshirts with phrases that represent life in fashion. It is a good thing that they are realising very early that it is a tough and constantly transforming business and they are using it in order to raise money to donate to a local cause. So of course I supported them by buying one. To make this sweatshirt look more girly and office appropriate I decided to combine it with the ultimate feminine shape, the pencil skirt. At the same time the tartan print helps break the monotony of the black.

A touch of fuchsia

Birds and bikers

Phoebe and the fur gilet

Even if you don´t know me personally you might have realized by my blog that I love cats. I grew up with a cat named Aggelos that arrived at the house when I was 7 years old and he died a few years ago after having lived a long, happy, grumpy life with our family. A few weeks ago having moved to a house that pets are allowed Dany and I decided to adopt a kitten. We went to an Open House for Adopting Cats organized by a local organisation called Adopta Monterrey. We entered a room full of kitten and also adult cats, all in need of a home and love. We were looking around for a few minutes. Phoebe was in a cat bed sitting with another cat and as soon as I saw her I felt that she could be the one. I held her in my arms and when she looked into my eyes I felt like she was telling me that she wanted to come with me. So what could I do? It was like a great sale that I couldn't resist. I signed the papers quickly and we took her home.
