Furla at the balcony

In January I went to San Antonio and I was browsing the sale rack at H&M when I found these denim shorts. At the moment I thought "Well summer will eventually come and they cost only 15 dollars so just go for them". During this summer holiday in Greece I realized that they were the most useful thing I packed! Like regular length jeans, I would just put a different top and shoes on and there it was, a completely new outfit! 

If you have been following my blog for some time now you will have noticed that my sister and I have developed this sort of family tradition that when we are together (she lives in England, I live in Mexico) we have to lend each other for at least a day accessories such as handbags, necklaces etc. Unfortunately we can't do it with clothes and shoes since we are different sizes but I got her handbag for a day ;)

Feline in Plaka

One of the most beautiful neighbourhoods of Athens is definitely Plaka. It is amazing how although you are just at the centre of the city it feels as if you were transported somewhere else with the narrow alleys, the trees, the beautiful neoclassical buildings and the views of Acropolis and other archaeologic sites located nearby. If you are planning a visit take the time to walk around and have lunch in one of the traditional tavernas you will find around the area. During the summer opt for a nice hat to protect you from the sun and a comfortable, cute pair of sandals that will allow you to explore that your feet hurting!

Summer in Athens

 It is great to be back home for some days because I get to see family, friends and be close to the beach. Athens is having a heatwave for the past days which means it is extremely hot and the sun is really strong. So a straw hat and shorts are my fashionable way of getting through it.

The perks of Voula, Athens

The greatest thing about my hometown is that my house is a 3-minute walk from the beach. Seeing this view always gives me hope that everything will be alright. I also get to do some shopping in the very cute boutique of Christos, called Boudoir that stocks only 100% Greek fashion brands, where I got this beautiful kimono. Did I mention that many friends live close by and I can borrow their stuff like this pair of sunglasses?
