Moomins and pom poms

Although I was in Helsinki for less than 24 hours, I was lucky to be there while there was a Fashion Stock Sale going on where Finnish brands were participating and selling products at low prices and as I was curious to see the work of local designers and it was just at the centre of the city, I paid it a visit. Although I saw many interesting pieces, the things that caught my eye and I couldn't walk away from was this collection by a designer which was full of prints with Moomins.  

I don't know if you recognise these very cute characters coming from a children's book and comic strip (100% from Finland) but I have been a fan since my childhood. If you don't know them, I invite you to Google them and you can find on YouTube episodes of the animated series. Of course I couldn't resist buying something from the collection, especially since the price was muuuuch lower than the original one! Oh and obviously I went for the pink option ;)

T-Rex and pom poms

Although the calendar says that autumn is here, the weather says "go ahead and wear your sandals" so I shall for as long as it is possible!

Pom poms and checkered

On the cloudy days that life brings upon us, colour is a good companion to get us through the dark moments. Don't be afraid to be bold and combine bright colours. Life is too short to not take risks, especially when it comes to your outfits where no real harm can be done!

Feline in Plaka

One of the most beautiful neighbourhoods of Athens is definitely Plaka. It is amazing how although you are just at the centre of the city it feels as if you were transported somewhere else with the narrow alleys, the trees, the beautiful neoclassical buildings and the views of Acropolis and other archaeologic sites located nearby. If you are planning a visit take the time to walk around and have lunch in one of the traditional tavernas you will find around the area. During the summer opt for a nice hat to protect you from the sun and a comfortable, cute pair of sandals that will allow you to explore that your feet hurting!

Sami with pom poms

I am currently in the beautiful island of Kefalonia in Greece enjoying the beach, relaxing and having a great time with my fiancé, my sister and her boyfriend. Being on a island offers the opportunity for a laid back dress code and sandals are a must. Spending time with my sister means borrowing stuff from her just like this very cute bag for a night out and about in the town of Sami.
