Purple and lumpy

Since I was very young I was obsessed with cartoons. I think at some point in my life I wanted to design cartoons but since my drawing skills are not really great I had to drop this plan. I had been hearing a lot about "Adventure Time" and when it became available on Netflix I decided to give it a try. It is very different from the cartoons I used to watch when I was young but I have to admit it is entertaining. For me the character that is standing out is Lumpy Space Princess. I love how grumpy, moody and spoilt she is, maybe because she reminds me of myself a little bit ;) And she gives a great a opportunity for an interesting outfit!

And the collection continues

Just when I thought that it was time to stop buying new sunglasses for a while, there I go buying another pair. I promise it was not intentional. Last week I went to a fashion show and there were some booths of young creators and brands there so I decided to take a look. One of these booths was a local brand that sells a large variety of sunglasses. I was there for a while checking the various models and then my eye caught these ones. I was offered to try them on but at the beginning I thought I should resist myself so I said no thank you. But then the owner mentioned that they had a very special price for that occasion only so it was very hard to resist myself. I tried them on and I convinced myself that another pair, especially a particular one like this, would do no harm.
As a friend told me yesterday sunglasses are an accessory, so as I couldn't really say I have enough rings or necklaces (not even handbags haha) I can't just have enough pairs of sunglasses :)

We're cool for the summer

Now that summer is here (at least where I live), shorts are a good way to create casual looks that keeps you fresh and comfortable. Just like their long brothers, denim shorts are a basic that can be combined with anything. Just put an interesting top and a pair of colourful sandals and you are ready to enjoy your days!

Seriously mood

For those days that you feel you don't want to try too hard with your outfit, try an all-black outfit. Maybe just add an accent to your look with some colour and create a mood. I decided to make my all-black look special by giving it an 80s vibe using a yellow bandana on my wavy hair and fuchsia lips :)

Blue, gold and pink

I remember not that long ago that I used to have only a pair of sunglasses that I would use every day, for any occasion. However in the past couple of years I have developed a slight obsession for them so I currently own 7 pairs, including these news ones. Of course some of them are not by a brand so they are not of great quality but I feel like they make for a perfect fashion accessory and at the same time protect my (sensible to the light) eyes.

  • Navy blue dress with white polka dots: ASOS CURVE
  • Pink pattern flats: MELISSA by VIVIENNE WESTWOOD ANGLOMANIA
  • Navy blue bucket bag: TARGET

Gold feet and rings

I remember when I was younger that I wasn't really a big fan of gold. However I have come to appreciate how practical it can be since it can be combined with any colour and it can be used for formal or casual occasions. I have come to love it so much that I currently own 4 pairs of gold shoes including these very pretty ones that I received as a present for my birthday from a very dear friend.
Don't be afraid to give it a try, even if you try it with accessories such as jewelry. It is a classic and you will see how easy it will make your life.
With this post I am done showing you my pretty birthday presents for this year. Of course I have included in the blog only the ones that are related to fashion but I have to point out that they were not the only ones and they were equally adorable and much appreciated.
