Yellow and hearts

Spring is here and although I know that floral prints are not exactly groundbreaking, you know that you can't go wrong with them. Another element that you can't miss on your wardrobe are bright colours. You know that I don't shy away from them all year long but for those of you who will not dare while there are clouds in the sky and low temperatures, the time has come to bring out the colours!! This yellow bag is one of the birthday presents I received last week and the timing couldn't have been better :)

Black and jewels

On Monday it was my birthday and although people in general might get depressed about getting older, I was too busy participating in a lot of festivities in my honour to even think about it :) So I received a lot of love, wishes and presents and many of my presents are wearable so you will be seeing them on the blog in the near future.
In order to complement my almost all-black look I decided to use this beautiful and interesting pair of earrings along with the cute and discreet bracelet, both gifts I was given from dear friends. I can't believe how much my perception of jewellery has changed with age. My collection keeps getting bigger and I really take them into account in order to create an outfit. I still haven't started investing in expensive pieces, I just like things that have a certain something and will give a cool touch to my look.

  • Black pleated trousers/black pointy flats with studs: ZARA
  • Purple Lil Ukita bag: MARC JACOBS

Fur and bows

In honour of Saint Patrick's Day, today it is a must to wear something green! If you don't have a dress and handbag like me, a scarf, t-shirt or pair of earrings will do. In order to continue with my Irish theme, I decided to add to the look my fur gilet from Primark.
I still love this piece as much as I did when I bought it 5 and a half years ago from the Oxford Street flagship store in London. I am one of these people that gets attached to their things and won't let them go so here I am, after all these years still using this vest I got for 20 pounds.

  • Green dress/nude pointy flats with bow: ZARA
  • Fur gilet: PRIMARK
  • Green leather ANDY handbag: CAROLINA HERRERA
  • Floral print scarf: BIMBA Y LOLA
  • Sunglasses: HASS JOYERÍA

Fur and frill

I really like black because it is classic and appropriate for anything but I need bright colours in my life as well, especially on gloomy days like today, so it was about time I brought this light blue dress into action. I bought it during sale season and I have been waiting for the weather to get warmer in order to use it but now that it seems to have taken a turn towards winter again, I decided that with some layering it would be ideal for taking away the cloudy days blues.
And to take it a step further instead of my typical big bag for everyday use, I decided to use my furry clutch bag. The good thing is that it is big enough to carry everything I might need and it is just adorable :)

  • Black short-sleeved turtleneck top: H&M
  • Light blue dress with frill/ furry clutch: ZARA
  • Black wet looking leggings/black biker jacket: NEW LOOK INSPIRE

Biker and sequins

Everyone knows that you can't have enough black dresses in your closet. They are a classic that never goes out of style, they can be combined with anything and are appropriate for any occasion. Of course the idea is to have a variety of styles so that you have different options and be able to create an infinity of looks.
The slip dress has made a big comeback in fashion and it can be a very versatile piece that can work as a great canvas for accessories and plus it is so comfortable. For a rock mood I decided to combine it with sequins and biker boots, giving to the look the perfect balance of edgy and cool.

  • Black slip dress: H&M
  • Gold sequin bomber jacket: TU TEXTIL
  • Black leather biker boots: ZARA
  • Black cross body bag: LOLY IN THE SKY

Chunky and gold

I am not a girl for heels as you might know by now but my obsession with shoes won't allow me to pass on a great offer when I come across one. So it was hard to resist buying this pink pair when I found it available on my size, for just 199 pesos. Of course I took into account the fact that the heel is low so I can easily manage and the colour guarantees that it can be combined with pretty much any colour. Did I mention that I think that pointy shoes are super chic?

  • Black dress with V-neck/ pale pink pointy shoes with square chunky heel: ZARA
  • Multicoloured handbag: KATE SPADE NEW YORK
  • Gold flower headband: SFERA

Non-boring basic

When you think of black trousers it is very probable that your mind goes directly to very classic, basic, workwear. But I have proof that they don't have to be boring! I found the perfect basic but a lot more interesting: this great pleated pair during sale season for just 199 pesos. They look cool, they are super comfortable and you can wear them to go to work like I did combining them with a classic striped sweater and flats, or for a more formal occasion combining them with heels and a nice top. Red lips are optional but they always look feminine from day to night :)

  • Black trench coat: H&M
  • Burgundy cross body saddle bag: PATRICK COX
  • Clear lens glasses: ALDO
  • Silver charm bracelet: PANDORA
